Dr. Miele graduated from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College after obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology at Anderson University in South Carolina, where he received a Men’s Soccer Scholarship. As a former elite level soccer player, he has played in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), played with Team Ontario and trained with the Canadian National Training (NTC), won two Canadian National Soccer Championships, and numerous Ontario Cup championships. His personal athletic experience has allowed him to develop a unique understanding of sports-related injuries and rehabilitation at every level.
Dr. Miele practices evidence-based chiropractic, which involves utilizing a variety of techniques to achieve the best possible outcomes for his patients. He is a fully certified Functional Mobility Specialist, skilled in Traditional Chinese Medicine, Graston Technique, and Cupping Therapy. Dr. Gagliardi is dedicated to the highest standards of evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation. He has been practicing for over 20 years and has gained the utmost respect from his patients and veteran practitioners alike. Having completed an esteemed Fellowship in Chiropractic Sports Rehabilitation, Dr. Gagliardi has extensive expertise in all areas of sports injury treatment combined with intensive chiropractic training.
As a teenager, Dr. Gagliardi was an elite athlete and played soccer at the professional level, enjoying the benefits of chiropractics to enhance his performance and prevent chronic pain following injury. This experience motivated him to pursue a career in Chiropractics. Following his graduation from Northwestern Health Sciences University in 2001, Dr. Gagliardi began his life’s work teaching others to achieve health and wellbeing. Since opening the doors of The Centre for Health & Performance, Dr. Gagliardi has focused on building his practice to include other health care providers that will make healing tangible for everyone. Currently, he operates two clinics that have become popular healing centres in Vaughan, Ontario. He prides himself on creating an environment where health and healing are achieved through teamwork and a keen knowledge of the human body.
Amit Bidaye is a registered physiotherapist with over 20 years experience. He graduated from the University of Toronto in 1995 with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. After that he went on to McMaster University to graduate from the Bachelor of Health Science program (physiotherapy) in 1997. He also received his Bachelor of Education from York University in 2005 and he is also a member with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario.
Amit has worked as a physiotherapist in various multidisciplinary settings, for example hospitals, sports clinics and teaching positions. He is also a WaterArt master trainer (hydrotherapist) and has taught courses for WaterArt over the last 10 years. Amit has attained his level 1 acupuncture course from the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada. He has taken numerous manual therapy courses and has mentored/ supervised physiotherapy students over the years. He has also worked with various amateur sports teams during his career.
Duong (“young”) is a Registered Physiotherapist who was born and raised in Toronto. He graduated with a Masters of Physical Therapy from the University of Western Ontario after completing an Honours Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at York University. While his wife was studying in London, Duong began working in private practice commencing 2013. He has treated clients with primarily musculoskeletal conditions, but also has special interests in concussion, vestibular rehabilitation, and neuromuscular conditions. In 2015, he set up the physiotherapy department at the Community Health Centre in London, Ontario. There he developed and implemented new programming to serve those with barriers to care, including poverty, homelessness, language and culture, and complex conditions such as mental health and addictions. Currently, Duong is excited to be back home in the GTA where he continues to provide dedicated, quality care to his clients.
Duong takes a client-centered approach to treatment. He involves the client in goal-setting and takes time to explain the assessment and treatment process. He educates clients about strategies and prescribes exercises to decrease pain, optimize functional mobility and strength, and prevent injuries. In addition to education and exercise, his treatment sessions can include a combination of manual therapy (joint and nerve mobilization), soft tissue release, acupuncture, and dry needling. He continues to expand his clinical skills by pursuing continuing education courses. He believes it is crucial to stay in touch with the most current practices, research, and techniques to provide the highest quality treatments to his clients. Duong is on his way to be certified in McKenzie Method, Advanced Shoulder Practice, Trigger Point Dry Needling, and the Selective Functional Movement Assessment.
In his spare time, Duong enjoys spending time with his two little kids, friends, and family. He also enjoys training his dog and parrot, resistance training, golfing, and the outdoors. Lastly, he is a big foodie.
Taiju Hashimoto is an experienced Acupuncturist who was born and raised in Japan before moving to Canada in 1993. He graduated with a degree in law from Soka University in Japan before pursuing his passion for alternative medicine. Taiju completed formal training in acupuncture at both the Japan College of Physical Medicine and the Toronto School of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Over the course of his career, Taiju has treated a wide variety of different ailments, including anxiety, depression, menopause, autoimmune diseases, and Bell’s palsy. His expertise has also extended to treating professional athletes, having worked with the Japanese Olympic figure skating team.
Taiju is a registered member of the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of Ontario (CTCMPAO), ensuring that his practice adheres to the highest standards of safety and efficacy. When he’s not helping patients, Taiju enjoys a variety of hobbies, including camping, travelling, riding motorcycles, and reading about topics related to peace, culture, and education. With his extensive training and experience, Taiju is dedicated to helping his patients achieve optimal health and wellbeing through the use of traditional Chinese medicine.
Dr. Cassandra was introduced to naturopathic medicine at a young age, while tagging along with her mother to all her appointments. As she got older and began her own journey with naturopathic medicine, she recognized just how much of a positive impact naturopathic medicine had on her life and overall well being. Dr. Cassandra’s goal has since been to help her patients, as her Naturopathic Doctor helped her. She is committed to providing her patients with individualized and comprehensive health care through the integration of conventional science and naturopathic medicines, as well as collaborating with multi-disciplinary practitioners.
Dr. Cassandra completed her Honours Bachelor of Science at the University of Toronto, majoring in Human Biology and a double minor in Physiology and History. She went on to complete an additional 4 years at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine to obtain her Doctor of Naturopathy degree. She has completed additional training in cosmetic acupuncture, therapeutic cupping, fertility treatment, prescribing and therapeutics, intravenous vitamin therapy, and her yoga teacher training.
She incorporates various therapies into her practice including clinical nutrition, acupuncture, Traditional Chinese Medicine, botanical medicine, and physical medicine. Dr. Cassandra is an ND that is passionate about supporting individuals along their health journey. She has a special interest in digestive health, skin conditions/concerns, women’s health/hormonal imbalances, thyroid health, stress management, weight management, mental health, fertility, pregnancy and postpartum. Kiefer graduated from the University of Toronto with a degree in Kinesiology. Since then he has worked as a personal trainer/ performance coach. Looking to add more to his service and get the most out of his clients, he graduated from Sutherland-Chan School of Massage Therapy.
He currently works as both an RMT and trainer allowing both rolls to supplement each other. Kiefer specializes in deep tissue massage, myofascial release, positional release, trigger point therapy, postural alignment, movement assessment, and joint mobilizations. He uses these techniques in order to find the root cause of symptoms and reduce pain in all regions of the body.In his spare time, Kiefer enjoys playing the drums, and staying active with weight training and boxing.
