Dr. Sophia Kotys graduated from the University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Kinesiology and then went on to receive her Doctor of Naturopathy degree from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine. 

Her mission as a Naturopathic Doctor is simple: to guide patients toward lasting wellness by combining compassionate care with evidence-based medicine. Dr. Kotys strives to create partnerships with her patients, empowering them with the tools knowledge and support needed to feel their best: today and for years to come. 

Dr. Kotys has a profound interest in metabolic health and primary disease prevention. She helps patients who have high blood pressure, diabetes, high cholesterol, insulin resistance, fatty liver and cardiovascular disease, with evidence-based interventions such as herbal medicine, nutraceuticals, nutritional therapy and lifestyle modifications. She also has experience working with patients with complex chronic illness, autoimmune conditions, gut issues, low immunity, nervous system dysregulations as well as menstrual cycle irregularities. 

Dr. Kotys’ aim as a Naturopathic Doctor is to address the gaps in the healthcare system by helping patients understand the root cause of their symptoms and guiding them toward a healthier, more fulfilling life.

Outside of work, you’ll usually find Dr. Sophia plant shopping, trying new recipes, or hanging out with her dogs! She loves staying active and spending time outdoors, whether it’s a walk, a workout, or just exploring something new. For her, it's all about finding joy in the little things!
